Seattle Seahawk and Delta Airlines Honor IAM Military Family Life Counselor Melissa Hanley

Military Family Life Counselor and IAM member, Melissa Hanley and family were honored with the prestigious Delta Community Captain award by the Seattle Seahawks and Delta Airlines. The Hanley family was chosen for this award for their service and commitment to the broader military community.

Sister Melissa Hanley along with the rest of the Military Family Life Counselors provide our active duty military men and women along with their families professional therapy and counseling.

Military families face unique challenges such as deployments, the hazard of the mission and life on base and overseas. As an Army spouse with young children herself Sister Melissa knows first hand how important her mission as a MFLC is but she has gone above and beyond even that.

Melissa co-leads a “Women’s Mentorship” program that assists female soldiers in reaching their full potential in the military environment. In addition, sister Hanley is an active volunteer with the Northwest USO.

IAM International President Robert Martinez recently stated, “ The IAM has a special and sacred bond with our armed forces.” Sister Melissa Hanley exemplifies that sacred bond with her commitment to our service men and women, their families, and the IAM.

The IAM would like to join the Seattle Seahawks and Delta in honoring Sister Melissa Hanley and her family for their service, sacrifice and commitment to the military community.
